Sure, you’ve probably seen him, but probably didn’t know his name. He was a character actor who worked in the 1940s into the 1960s.

He was “Judge Carter” on thirty two episodes of “Perry Mason”, he was Jerry Lewis’s father in “The Ladies Man” in 1961. He was in a member of court martial board in “The Caine Mutiny”.

He was in a number of other movies and had recurring roles on some TV series.

Yet, he is best known for this.

Yep, he found fame and not much fortune as Ichabod Slipp.
