On February 6, 1911 Ronald Wilson Reagan was born in Tampico, IL. After college he embarked on a career in broadcasting (sports), acting, and finally politics.
In 1980, he was elected 40th President of the United States. Much derided by the left, he set about transforming America and the world. His crowning accomplishment was the end of the Soviet Union, although when it happened he was out of office. He was certainly controversial and infuriated what is now known as the Main Stream Media by bypassing their filters and speaking directly to American voters.
Like all Presidents, and all people for that matter, he was far from perfect. That said he restored conservatism to the Republican Party and America’s preeminence as a world leader.
We could use a conservative politician of his stature today.
AMEN!
