Ambulance Driver has asked his fellow bloggers to help his friend and political sparring partner Robert spread the word about an anti-gay granite company. Yes, you read that right.
As AD says, this privately owned company has the absolute right, or should, to decline the custom of anyone for any reason, at any time. On the other hand, the granite consuming public has the right to shun Southern Style Granite and the single digit IQ, sheep shagging proprietors Darren and Chris Cifreo.
Here is Roberts blog post on the incident along with his call to action.
Anti-Gay Baton Rouge Granite Co. in Stone Age
Southern Style Granite is obviously not a place to do business with. Screw ’em.
Thanks for spreading the word!
I have yet to hear anything directly from Southern Style Granite or its proprietors, and certainly welcome any comment from them.
The real hero here is Kevin Serrin, Chairman of the Baton Rouge-based equality organization Capitol City Alliance (CCA) and his partner, who subjected themselves to potential discrimination to verify the story of the first gay couple to be so ridiculously discriminated against. I’ve known Kevin as an acquaintance for a long time, and know him to be a fair-minded guy, so when he emailed CCA supporters with this news, I had to share it.
No matter what a person or business thinks about gay people, in this economy, the only thing that REALLY matters is whether or not their money’s good…
