Via email from a friend of mine comes this mind boggling story.

Burger King Kicks Out Baby for Not Wearing Shoes

A baby was kicked out of Burger King in Missouri. Not only was the baby kicked out, but so was her mother, who had not put shoes on the infant yet. Enacting the “no shoes, no shirt, no service” policy, a Missouri Burger King manager told the mother that they would have to leave the restaurant because the baby wasn’t wearing any shoes. The mother put socks on the baby to try and adhere to the policy, what was then threatened by the manager that he would call the police. The baby doesn’t walk, and can’t even crawl yet, but the manager didn’t want “baby germs” getting in the way of his business.

Yup, got to be careful of those “baby germs”. We all know how they like to cling to babies feet and jump into fryolators.

The whole incident took place at the Sunset Hills Burger King at 10734 Sunset Hills Plaza in Missouri. Jennifer Frederich went into the Burger King with her baby, her mother, and about 25 other people from a church youth group. Her mother and the baby were the first two to walk through the door, where they were approached by the restaurant manager who cited health concerns as a reason that the baby needed to have shoes placed on her.

Girl baby germs, the very worst kind!

What a maroon, what an imbeecil.

Although, thinking about it a little bit more, this guy should go straight to TSA.
His unthinking adherence to the written rule without understanding the
logic, on the fly making up a totally bullshit excuse to justify his
stupidity, and insistence that the feet of a six month old pose a health
threat make him a natural. He won’t even need training, he comes pre stupid qualified.

Any day now The Onion will have to close up shop because it’s getting way too hard to parody these people.

I'm a retired paramedic who formerly worked in a largish city in the Northeast corner of the U.S. In my post EMS life I provide Quality Improvement instruction and consulting under contract. I haven't really retired, I just don't work nights, holidays, or weekends.  I escaped the Northeast a couple of years ago and now live in Texas.  I'm more than just a little opinionated, but that comes with having been around the block more than once. You can email me at EMSArtifact@gmail.com After living most of my life (so far) in the northeast my lovely wife and I have moved to central Texas because we weren't comfortable in the northeast any longer. Life is full of twists and turns.

  1. This from a manager of mostly minimum wage workers who I bet more than frequently forget to wash their hands. Classic case of not being able to see the forest for the trees.

  2. Swear to you, that would have been about the time I decided the baby needed to eat & whipped out a boob. Still would've left, but there's always an opportunity to annoy someone a little extra.
