I Don’t Care Who You Are

That’s funny right there.

I’m not turning this into a video link blog, but this just appeals to my warped sense of humor.

Of course, if I were training the guy, he’d wake up with one of these pinned to his shirt.

Subtlety? Who needs subtlety?

On a semi serious note, some people are just not cut out for EMS. Better they learn that early than late. Everyone, especially their partners and their patients will be much happier.

I'm a retired paramedic who formerly worked in a largish city in the Northeast corner of the U.S. In my post EMS life I provide Quality Improvement instruction and consulting under contract. I haven't really retired, I just don't work nights, holidays, or weekends.  I escaped the Northeast a couple of years ago and now live in Texas.  I'm more than just a little opinionated, but that comes with having been around the block more than once. You can email me at EMSArtifact@gmail.com After living most of my life (so far) in the northeast my lovely wife and I have moved to central Texas because we weren't comfortable in the northeast any longer. Life is full of twists and turns.

  1. Haw! Haw!This actually scares me, because I just applied for a 911 operator job in a city in the region, and I’ve been asking myself that very question.Deep breaths. Buck up, girl.

  2. Fortunately, you don’t have to go to the scene, you just have to take the phone call. Which is an art in itself, but that’s a different story.

  3. That video is so hilarious! My other half looked over at me and said “so is that what you’re gonna do when you go out on clinicals the first time?” I looked him straight in the eye and said “please, don’t insult me! 🙂 ” My own sense of warped humor is very much alive and well too!
